Funky Feet's early years physical activity initiative is available as a curriculum programme bespoke to your school. In addition to in house delivery, CPD is also available to upskill school staff. Working across local schools in Stockton we deliver a half term block of Funky Feet sessions, working alongside the teacher on a peer mentor approach. The Funky Feet programme has been designed to support the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This framework is for all early years providers in England (from 1 September 2021): maintained schools; non-maintained schools; independent schools (including free schools and academies); all providers on the Early Years Register; and all providers registered with an early years childminder agency This is a set of standards of learning, development and care for children from birth, aged up until 5 years old. Four guiding principles should shape practice in early years settings and Funky Feet helps to achieve them. • every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured • children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships • children learn and develop well in enabling environments with teaching and support from adults, who respond to their individual interests and needs and help them to build their learning over time. Children benefit from a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and/or carers. • importance of learning and development. Children develop and learn at different rates. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision,
